Surgery (Soft Tissue)

Soft-Tissue Surgeries
Soft-tissue surgery encompasses any surgery relating to the skin and subcutaneous regions. It includes procedures such as lump removals and reconstructions. Our team of skilled veterinarians have tackled lumps that have come in a range of sizes, from benign tiny warts to large malignant tumors.
Some of these lumps include:
- Lipoma – A benign fat filled lump that can grow large and impact on a dogs movement
- Melanoma – A malignant skin cancer that is seen in people
- Mast Cell Tumor – A skin cancer that ranges from low to highly malignant and invasive
- Soft-Tissue Sarcoma – A malignant fast growing tumour that is locally invasive
Here at Vets @ Acacia Gardens your pet’s comfort is our priority, your pet will receive pain relief before and after the procedure as well as anti-inflammatories to keep them comfortable.
Complicated soft-tissue surgeries, such as those needing extensive reconstruction or follow-up radiation treatment for malignant tumours, will sometimes need to be referred to a specialist surgeon. Our veterinarians will assess each case individually and provide the best advice for you and your pet.
